Frank Nastanski, MD, FACS

Dr. Frank Nastanski is a highly skilled trauma and critical care surgeon with a specialized focus on burn care and advanced surgical techniques. Based in Santa Ana, California, he brings over two decades of experience in treating complex wounds, managing critical trauma cases, and leading multidisciplinary surgical teams.

Dr. Nastanski graduated from Princeton cum laude with a degree in Molecular Biology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University, followed by a General Surgery Residency and a Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. His clinical expertise is enhanced by years of leadership as Associate Director of Trauma Services and Surgical Director of both the Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Orange County Global Medical Center.

A recognized authority in burn surgery and wound management, Dr. Nastanski has contributed to the advancement of burn care through innovative use of aseptically processed allografts and chitosan-based biological materials. His research and presentations at national conferences have highlighted effective techniques for wound closure, infection prevention, and improved patient recovery in challenging cases, including immunocompromised and coagulopathic patients.

Dr. Nastanski’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the operating room. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the Western Trauma Association. He is dedicated to advancing surgical education, having mentored aspiring surgeons, nurse practitioners, and nursing students throughout his career.

With a deep passion for improving outcomes in burn care and trauma surgery, Dr. Nastanski continues to innovate and lead in his field, setting the standard for compassionate and evidence-based care.

Jennifer Nastanski, NP-C

With over a decade of experience in healthcare, Jennifer Nastanski, NP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner based in Orange County, California. Jennifer’s diverse background includes trauma care, family practice, and nursing education, showcasing her passion for improving health outcomes and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner from California State University, Long Beach. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both earned cum laude from California State University, Fullerton.

Her career highlights include serving as a Trauma Performance Improvement RN, where she helped implement hospital-wide protocols, and as a Nursing Professor, where she inspired future nurses through innovative teaching strategies. Jennifer is also experienced in simulation-based learning, having served as a Simulation Lab Coordinator to enhance hands-on training for nursing students.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Jennifer is a strong advocate for health and wellness, bringing her knowledge and compassionate care to every endeavor she pursues.
